Our Story
Established in 1994, Food for Tots is the leading children’s caterer providing affordable, high quality meals and snacks for children attending day care and child care centres, and schools.
Food for Tots was founded to make a difference in the lives of children by providing quality, healthy and delicious food children love. Food for Tots understands the importance of children developing good nutritional habits at an early age. We’ve become the leader through our strong commitment, dedicated team and by continuing to introduce service innovations to the industry. These industry firsts include:
- Two-choice Menu Offering – A customized meal program with a rotating four-week menu offering two meal options for each day.
- Allergy Management – As allergy management experts, we can accommodate most allergies, multi-allergy requests, and religious and dietary restrictions.
- Food Emergency kits – Should a customer need a replacement item in a hurry, every centre is equipped with an emergency kit to ensure every tummy is filled.
- Customer-Focused – Every Food for Tots customer has a dedicated customer services representative who works closely with each centre to ensure their needs are met.
Over the years we have grown to a 10,000 sq. ft state-of-the art cooking facility. Our facility is 100% nut-free, pork-free and shellfish-free and all allergy-free meals are prepared in a separate area by a Red Seal Chef.
